AGENTS.md
The operating rules AI coding agents read before changing this project.
AGENTS.md is the project's instruction manual for coding agents. Tools that
support this convention read it automatically when they work in the folder.
It tells the agent that this is Expo SDK 57, React Native 0.86, React 19.2, Uniwind 1.x, and Tailwind 4. It also protects the starter's core contract:
- mock mode must stay complete,
- routes stay thin,
- production SDKs stay inactive until deliberately wired,
- server secrets never enter
EXPO_PUBLIC_*, - every integration seam keeps its matching skill,
- accessibility, themes, languages, states, and device testing are not optional,
- deploy, publish, submit, and paid-account actions require your approval.
The most important section is the intent-to-skill table. When you ask for auth,
payments, push, EAS, a design review, or a store submission, the agent knows
which file in agent-skills/ to read before acting.
A useful first message
Read AGENTS.md and summarize the non-negotiable rules for this task. Tell me
which agent skill applies before you edit anything.Keep AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, and GEMINI.md aligned when changing project-wide
rules. Do not paste provider secrets, passwords, signing keys, or one-time codes
into any of them.
